Patreon.com is a so-called "crowd-funding platform'. It allows users to donate a monthly sum to their favorite creators, and in return receive perks and recognition.

Patreon is a natural fit for us, as all Kaiser Cat Cinema shows are fully crowdfunded. This means we get all of our funding from merchandise sales and Patreon donations. Patreons help support the show and can make cameo appearances as part of their perks package.

This means their likeness, or that of a friend, is worked into our shows as a side character. These cameos are highlighted at the end of each video, where we thank our top patreons in person. This programme has led to a incredible community of 150+ patreons, donating an average of $2,000 monthly.

Patreons that belong to similar factions are offered the chance to join a 'regiment'. This is a group of Patreons with a small bit of home-written lore attached. References to these brigades can be found hidden throughout all our shows and projects.
