The beautiful landscapes of the Alps featured prominently in the post-war propaganda paintings, promoting an image of history, culture and peace in the increasingly unstable nation. These posters were notable for their part in government attempts to influence the outcome of the 1936 Ausgleich negotiations.
Alt-history painters Hussard and Vincent teamed for this glowing homage to the beautiful Alp nations that formed the core of Austria-Hungary. While the empire is long since gone, it's message of unity across borders and cultures survives in the current-day European Union.
