The arrival of German troops on Belarusian soil heralded a shift in the Russian Civil War. In March 1918, the Germans advanced up to Minsk to pressure the Bolsheviks into signing a peace agreement, and the Belarusians seized upon that opportunity to proclaim the White Ruthenian Democratic Republic. The German occupation forces did not bother to recognize the fledgling state at first. Soon however, they began to work with local independence activists against Russia. During the final peace treaty with Russia in 1921, Moscow was forced to recognize Belarusian independence on top of the nations already freed by the Brest-Litovsk Treaty.... About the artist
As a kid, Vincent would get into trouble for drawing German tanks on math tests. After retiring from the Kaiserreich mod team, he set upon the task of bringing the mod's incredible lore to Youtube. From there, he built KCC - a collective of creators focused on making original alt-history content!
